My Story

I am a Graduate Assistant for Outdoor Adventures here at UNL. I came to UNL from Texas, where I grew up and became interested in natural resources and outdoor recreation. I am excited to be in a different part of the Great Plains that offers much different ecosystems and opportunities than West Texas. I am heavily involved in teaching outdoor education classes with Outdoor Adventures such as whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, and backpacking. I am very intrigued by the nexus between natural resource conservation and outdoor recreation, from being immersed in both. In my free time I try to practice guitar (I say try 'try to practice,' because it is somewhat painful on the ears), my goal is to be able to play "Free Bird" one day.

I am the current president of BikeUNL, a bicycle advocacy group on campus. We are trying to increase bicycle education, opportunities, and ridership within the UNL community.
